Hatha Yoga is the medieval yoga which made use of asanas, purifications, bandhas, mudras and pranayama to achieve liberation. Includes physical siddhis (special powers, bodily benefits such as slowing age effects, magical powers).
Ashtanga Yoga students are expected to memorize a sequence and to practice in the same room as others without being led by the teacher. The style is energetic, synchronising breath with movements.
Karma Yoga purifies the mind, it leads one to consider dharma of work, and the work according to one's dharma, doing god's work and in that sense being "like unto god Krishna" in every moment of one's life.
